My daughter and I joined a tour of the Mekong delta aboard the Le Cochinchine during the early part of June. We very much enjoyed the trip, the accomodation on board was very good (we appreaciated the air conditioning!) The food was good and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall, it was a fantastic expereince which was well organised and executed. I would not hesitate to use your services again. Regards Jeff Elliott

Hi Winston – a note of thanks for our wonderful trip to Vietnam. Everything went without a hitch – absolutely superb !!! The guides were fantastic as was the country and all the places we went and people we met. The trip covered a variety of sites, activities and experiences so I congratulate you on organizing it for us.
I have only one comment to make and that’s regarding tipping the tour guides. As we don’t tip in Australia , nor do the Vietnamese, but considering the poor wages we had no idea what to tip and we couldn’t tip the guide without the driver. Perhaps giving some guide to future travelers would be of benefit. We overtipped in the beginning but got it figured out by the end after asking Mr Danh & Mr Trang. Also we weren’t sure about tipping the boat drivers considering we were the only ones on the boat eg on Perfume River and Halong Bay.
This is a trivial issue in the big scheme of things so I want to make more the point about the fabulous timing and thought you put into our time there. Again , many thanks.

After our initial misunderstanding over payment (my fault entirely), I would like you to know that the tour went excellently. A friendly & helpful guide in Phnom Penh made our day both pleasant & informative, even if we were rather devastated by the Killing Fields & S21. Although they are hard to take, we think everyone should see them to understand what happened in Kampuchea. Our guide in Siem Reap, Marouan, & his driver were if anything even better and our trips around the Angkor complex were absolutely unforgettable. The Hotel Salina in Siem Reap was good value for money, despite being the cheapest available but we were a little disappointed with the Princess in Phnom Penh where we found the food rather poor & the staff rather disinterested. We recognise this is also the cheapest option but clearly does not match up to the budget hotels we stayed in throughout our 4 weeks in Vietnam. Our only small problem was that the advertisement on your website suggests lunch is provided everyday although, on checking your acknowledgement, it was not listed. Perhaps someone could correct the website.

As we find that you did a good job, we recommended your servicies to some spanish friends, now those groups come back and they are also very happy with your job, I only want to say thanks to you. Last year we went to the south of Vietnam, because we only had one week. Now we are thinking to come again but north and central of Vietnam. I looked your web page and you have a lot of choise, but can you please send to me, which could be the more convinient route? Our trip to Vietnam was fantastic. Thank you very much! Everything was perfect-even the weather was beautiful while we were there.
The hotel was great, the tours were very good and Mr. Ha and Mr. Kong (driver) were very polite, punctual and informative.

This is some feedback from our trip to Vietnam.
* Ms Luu Vo - excellent, very keen to help and accommodate us. * HCMC tour & Mekong Delta - excellent. Tam was a very good guide and is obviously proud of his country and its heritage. Our driver/s were also excellent. * Hue and Hoi An - our guide Lam, was a very nice person, but his pronounciaton of English was poor and he was difficult to understand. Content of the tour was good and driver was excellent. * Hanoi - Accommodation was the poorest of our tour, but it was only for one night and it was almost like living in a tube house. Our guide, Long, was excellent. * All transfers were very good and flights with Vietnam Air was excellent. * Lunches - they were very good. Two were much the same (Elephant ear fish) and they were both in the Mekong, but they were all of a high standard. * Cu Chi tour - for my wife, this was a highlight and it was everything she could have wished for because she teaches Vietnamese history. Day 1 : ( Saturday ) Hanoi - Lao Cai 20: 30 pm - Pick up at your hotel and transfer to Hanoi railway station to board the express train to Laocai. Overnight in an air-conditioned soft sleeper cabin (4 pax/ cabin or 2 pax/cabin on request).
Day 2 : (Sunday) Sapa - Lao Chai Village - Ta Van Village ( B, L , D ) 6 : 00 am - Arrive at Laocai railway station. Welcome by your local guide and driver. Transfer to your hotel in Sapa for breakfast and a shower. Leave Sapa at 10am by jeep to visit an H'mong village nestling in a beautiful valley and a hydroelectric power station built by the French. Follow a small path to visit 2 other villages of the H'mong and the Dzay people (LaoChai and TaVan). Picnic lunch en route. Dinner with a Dzay family. Overnight in TaVan village. (5 hours trekking, 14 km, 3 villages)
Day 3 : (Monday) Ta Van Village - Giang Ta Chai Village -Sapa ( B, L , D ) Breakfast at the homestay, then take the road to GiangTaChai village to see the Red Dzao people via a network of paths through terraces and bamboo forests. Visit a picturesque waterfall and a suspension bridge. Enjoy a picnic lunch and cross the river to visit an H'mong village on the mountainside. Return to Sapa by jeep. Visit an ancient stone circle. Check into hotel. Dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight at your chosen hotel in Sapa. (5 hours trekking, 4 km, 2 villages)
Day 4 : (Tuesday) Sapa - Coc Ly Market - Boat Trip on Chay River ( B, L , D ) Breakfast at the hotel. Depart at 7am for CocLy market which is situated far from Sapa. Experience the peaceful life of the different ethnic tribes (Flower H'mong, Black Dzao, Tay, Dzay). The market gives them the chance to meet and share their joys and sorrows after the harvest. Bid farewell to the market and take an exhilarating boat trip along the Chay River, where you are bound to feel a sense of your own minuteness against the majestic backdrop of the high Rock Mountains and to be stunned by the breathtaking waterfalls. Visit TrungDo village of the Tay Minority. After the boat trip, visit a small town called BaoNhai, then return by jeep to Laocai station to board the night train to Hanoi. Dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight in an air-conditioned soft sleeper cabin. End of services.
